Spherion has partnered with a global player in wind energy solutions to identify a Field Application Engineer for their growing business.






The Field Application Engineer role is the technical resource responsible for installation, repair and preventative maintenance of assigned wind turbine projects.  Will be responsible for executing proper installation of wind turbines while working closely with customers and under the direction of the Director, Project Management.  Will be responsible for monitoring existing systems and pro-actively identifying potential issues and resolving them expeditiously.  Will also be responsible for routine maintenance on each assigned wind turbine system. 






Primary Responsibilities



Â-         Completes technical installation of assigned wind turbines on time, on cost, on quality, and according to all safety procedures and guidelines.



Â-         Primary customer interface on all technical issues related to products and services.



Â-         Pro-actively monitors assigned customer turbine systems using systems, metrics and know how to ensure maximum efficiency and utilization is achieved. Provides on-site resolution to customers identified issues with systems. 



Â-         Creates accurate and timely documentation related to assigned systems on performance, maintenance, issues and problem resolution.



Â-         Communicates market and customer trends and activities to internal stakeholders



Â-         Accompanies sales team on customer sales calls to provide technical expertise as required.  Educates the sales team on customer requirements. 






Requirements



Â-         5-7 years experience in an FAE role in the wind technology space 



Â-         Bachelorâ€(tm)s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)



Â-         Must possess a true passion for Safety.



Â-         Physical requirements include the ability to lift 75 pounds and climb 280â€(tm)



Â-         Must have exceptional customer service skills, a strong sense of urgency and passion for delivering results.



Â-         Must have passport and ability to travel 100% domestically and internationally.



Â-         Strong communications skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels and customers effectively



Â-         Exceptional decision making, critical thinking and analytical skills are essential
