Multi-billion hedge fund in Fairfield County, CT seeks a Senior Fund Accountant to support their Fixed Income and Equity funds.  The fund accounting group consists of 10 Staff and Controller level professionals.  The firm has a 20-year track record in the Equities and more recently Credit space.

Responsibilities:

Â-         Calculate monthly performance numbers for several investment partnerships

Â-         Reconcile positions between internal systems and prime broker

Â-         Reconcile P&L between internal systems and prime brokers

Â-         Prepare accounting journals, calculate management fees

Â-         Prepare various daily P&L reports for distribution to Portfolio Manager.

Â-         Work with external auditors during the interim testing and year-end financial statements audit.

Â-         Work with internal and external systems to provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Portfolio Manager

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting


• Minimum of 2 years within the investment management industry


• Public Accounting experience a plus; CPA a plus


• Fixed Income and Equities knowledge


• Superior ability to multi-task and prioritize.
