 Conversion Svc Mgr - Asset Svc
The incumbent will supervise the staff of 10+ associates responsible for overseeing all conversion activity that includes new business conversions, de-conversions, asset reallocations, asset certifications, and in-kind transfers. S/He will have significant interaction with the client, investment manger, consultants and internal business groups. S/He will be assigned various projects that will be directed by the manager as needs dictate. S/He will lead meetings regarding conversions or asset reallocations discussing the various methods used to ensure that the events involved are meeting clients¿ expectations. S/He will review and provide recommendations to ensure the departmental procedures are being followed and functioning effectively. In addition s/he will participate in new business presentations. The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred or comparable work experience. S/He must have extensive knowledge of securities (accruals, income/corporate action posting policies, settlement policies, brokerage practices, and security transfer procedures) and trust accounting theories and practices. S/He must be familiar with PC spreadsheets and on-line systems. S/He must possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines. Supervisory, organizational, multi-tasking and effective leadership skills are required. This position requires 10 years of relevant securities experience.
