SVP/Managing Dir-Agency Lend
Job title: SVP/Managing Director - Agnecy Lending Location: Horsham, PA
The position provides oversight, coordination and management of Agency Lending. Manages the direction of the group in meeting the economic and strategic objectives of the company while mitigating credit risk in a highly competitive environment. Oversees the processing, underwriting, closing and delivery of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loans. Makes or recommends credit decisions, as appropriate.
Position Responsibilities: *Management oversight and financial accountability of group. *Identify, coordinate and implement business plans that meet economic and strategic sense for the group and the firm. *Manage and direct the underwriting process by assessing risks, strengths and weaknesses of loan submissions and determining their acceptability, creditworthiness and conformity to Agency requirements. *Review and direct the approval of loan applications taken under investor programs. *Establish and maintain a strong credit culture, which balances risk-adjusted returns with an entrepreneurial spirit. *Approve credit decisions in conjunction with others to ensure that risks are accurately identified. *Manages the development and implementation of policies and procedures supporting daily functions. *Acts as a resource to retail production group. Instruct and inform Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae program changes to production staff and group. *Attend and participate in various conferences, meetings and seminars which give us market exposure while expanding our “market knowledge” on key trends and competitors in the business.
Essential Skills & Experience: *Master's Level Degree *8+ yrs. relevant experience *Strong PC background including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Access). *Advanced degree in Finance, Economics or a closely related field. Fifteen or more years of credit experience are preferred and demonstrated with a proven track record. A demonstrated expertise with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae programs and processes. Excellent negotiation and arbitration skills with investors and borrowers. Proven and effective management skills to manage a group of employees. Demonstrated abilities in developing new business.
