 Field Technician
| The role will require the technician to visit the mill two days
per week, for four to six hours each visit. The responsibilities of the
role are:
1) Check process parameters to assure finished product quality
2) First line of response when generator pauses in cycle due to process
alarm. Therefore, candidate must live within one hour of mill.
3) Inventory management of acid/caustic used during production
4) Assist mill maintenance resources to service major mechanical
components as needed.
5) Routine maintenance (calibration) of turbidity and pH meters.
6) Extraction of data to support monthly billing.
Requirements:
HS Diploma required, Technical/Associates Degree preferred.
Must live within 1 hour of Staten Island mill, on-call most weekends.
Background in chemistry and/or paper making with at least 3 years experience supporting chemical systems in a chemical site.
Strong Mechanical/Electrical trouble-shooting skills
Basic computer skills (MS Office) for handling of billing data |
